About the company

Founded in July 2001 by Adam Martin and Stuart Dungworth from Sheffield, The Coffee Project consists of two companies:

  1. The Coffee Project Trading Company Limited, run by three voluntary directors, has the following objectives:

    • to sell coffee imported from the developing world at a fair price
    • to return all its profits to the charity (see below)

  2. The Coffee Project Limited is a registered charity, run by five voluntary trustees, with the following objective:

    • to relieve poverty and sickness and to advance education in the developing world

The Coffee Project Limited has complete ownership of Coffee Project Trading Company Limited.

It is planned that the charity will claim back from the Inland Revenue the tax of the gifts given by the Limited Company. The charity will then give the money to specific projects.

The Coffee Project is a Ltd company, No 4257940, 43 Marchwood Road, Sheffield,S6 5LB. Reg charity No 1093447.
